Sassa Gurl has reached a major milestone in her entertainment career after winning her first acting award.

On Instagram, she proudly announced,

"Oh di ba, ganap na kong professional entertainer. Nakuha ko ang una kong acting award for Bar Boys: After School, Breakthrough Actress of the year sa Platinum Stallion National Media Award 2026."

Looking back on her journey, Sassa expressed gratitude to the people who guided her along the way.

"Mula sa set ng Balota hangang sa BBAS, hindi ako gagaling magiging mas mulat kung wala ang utak ng direk @kipoebanda. Hindi lang sa craft ng acting [pati] na rin sa buhay ay binago ako ng mga nakatrabaho ko."

She also recalled advice from her mentor: "An actor should be brave," which she has carried into every role.

Sassa credited her mentors and directors for helping her discover her voice in the industry.

"And of course hindi ko mahahanap ang boses ko sa industriyang ito kung wala ang mentor kong si Direk @iamrodafrog," she added.

She also thanked the cast and crew for their support, noting the contributions of both veteran and new actors.

"Thank you @901studiosph for trusting me. Sa napakagaling na crew and syempre sa co actors ko," she wrote.

Sassa concluded with a lighthearted message for her fans:

"At sa mga NAKSHT kong hindi ako sinukuan, never kayong iiwan sa kanal, nasa mansion man ako yung bathtub puno padin ng tubig kanal. Eme!!"
