“My baby isn't sleeping well at night with wake ups ranging from every 3 hours to every 1.5 hrs at some nights,” she said.

Despite the exhaustion, she emphasized that the experience remains meaningful.

“And yet, even on those days, I know this season is such a gift,” she added.

According to Kris, breastfeeding has helped her develop patience and resilience, while deepening the bond she shares with her child.

She described it as nurturing “the unspoken bond between a mother and her child.”

While acknowledging the challenges, Kris said she is choosing to embrace the experience fully.

“Sometimes weaning is not winning,” she shared. She added that she is trying to cherish both the joyful and difficult moments, knowing they are temporary.

The actress also offered words of comfort to fellow mothers.

“For the moms going through something similar. You're not alone,” she said.

Kris married businessman Perry Choi in 2021 and stepped away from show business after giving birth.

After a three-year hiatus, she officially returned to television this January.

Kris Bernal is a respected Filipino actress and businesswoman who rose to fame after winning the fourth season of StarStruck in 2006. Spending nearly 20 years with GMA Network, she successfully transitioned from being part of a popular love team to becoming a versatile leading and character actress, headlining well-received projects such as Little Nanay and Koreana. Now embracing motherhood, Kris continues to challenge herself creatively and has recently taken on bolder, more daring roles in the 2026 drama series House of Lies.

In recent interviews, Kris admitted she was puzzled after realizing that her longtime on-screen partner Aljur Abrenica had unfollowed and unfriended her on social media. She said she tried to reach out by contacting Aljur’s brother, Vin Abrenica, to confirm his contact details, but initially received no response to her text messages and Viber chats. Kris also wondered if a prank she pulled during the pandemic—where she pretended to be pregnant for a YouTube video and caught Aljur off guard—may have contributed to his sudden silence. The two eventually ran into each other backstage at TiktoClock, where Kris jokingly asked him about the apparent snub. Aljur reportedly told her that he had tried to return her call.
