Barangay officials in Makati City have confirmed that Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee filed a blotter report against the driver of her friend, actress Rhian Ramos, following an incident earlier this year.

Barangay Urdaneta desk officer Reynan Garcia told "The STAR" that Michelle arrived at the barangay at around 5:30 a.m. on January 18 to formally lodge her complaint. The report stemmed from an alleged altercation that reportedly took place a day earlier.
In a separate report by ABS-CBN News, Michelle’s blotter entry stated that the driver “physically harmed me on my right arm that left bruises and scratches and nail marks.” The account detailed visible injuries that were allegedly sustained during the incident.
“May pasa siya dito, pinakita niya sa’kin. Sinaktan daw siya,” Garcia said.

However, the driver, identified as Bonifacio Baro, has since filed a countercomplaint before the National Bureau of Investigation.
Baro accused Michelle, Rhian, and fellow beauty queen Samantha Panlilio of repeatedly assaulting and “tortured” him inside the actress’ condominium unit on January 17.
Baro went to the NBI accompanied by Boy Evangelista, who is the president of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption.
According to the driver, he sought the group’s assistance in pursuing legal action related to the alleged assault and what he described as illegal detention.
He claimed that the incident caused him physical and emotional distress, prompting him to escalate the matter beyond the barangay level. Authorities have yet to release further details on the status of both complaints.
As of writing, no formal charges have been announced, and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the conflicting claims.
Rhian Ramos and Michelle Dee, both prominent figures in the Philippine entertainment industry, are known for their close friendship and living arrangements as “housemates.” Rhian is a veteran actress under GMA Network, while Michelle Dee gained recognition as the country’s representative at Miss Universe 2023.
The controversy began when Rhian’s driver, identified as “Totoy,” came forward with allegations of abuse following a dispute over an angpao (red envelope) allegedly containing sensitive items. Adding to the actresses’ defense, a celebrity makeup artist has stepped forward to corroborate their whereabouts. The artist confirmed that Michelle and Rhian were together in Iloilo on the dates cited in the driver’s complaint, supporting the lawyers’ statements and providing additional evidence in favor of the two women.
Despite the ongoing legal situation, Rhian Ramos took time to post a heartfelt birthday tribute for celebrity doctor Vicki Belo on social media. She expressed her gratitude and affection for the doctor, who has been a longtime friend.
