The controversy began on January 24 when Claudine held a livestream accusing her former assistant and a certain individual of taking her children, Sabina, Quia, and Noah, without consent. While the children eventually returned home safely that same day, the actress sparked further intrigue by suggesting that Raymart may have conspired in the incident.

Through a statement sent by his lawyers to Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Monday, January 26, Raymart categorically denied the allegations. There is no truth to any of the allegations made by [Claudine Barretto], both in the past and recently, more so, our client is not in any way or form involved in the kidnapping incident of his children with Ms. Barretto, if there is indeed any, the statement read.

His legal team explained that while the situation is difficult, Raymart chooses to remain silent on specific details due to a standing court order. While painful and difficult, our client actively refrains from further addressing, dignifying, or responding to any of these statements as deference to the Gag Order issued by the court, which remains in full force and effect to this day. Our client respects the court and has faith that justice and truth will prevail in time, they added.

Raymart Santiago is a veteran action star and comedian who comes from the prominent Santiago showbiz clan, being the younger brother of Randy and Rowell Santiago. He married Claudine Barretto in 2006, but their relationship became a subject of public fascination and legal battles following their separation in 2013.
