“I’m speaking of my journey, our journey, as a blended family na nag-work for us. Pero it didn’t happen overnight. It was hard,” Jodi shared during the interview. She didn't hold back in describing just how bad things were before they found common ground. “Kasuhan left and right. I mean, we are just so hostile na hindi mo talaga kami mapagsasama sa isang room,” she added.
The "Silent Superstar" recalled a life-changing moment that happened over a decade ago. One night at 3:00 AM, while she was dealing with her frustrations and nursing a drink, a close friend called her. Jodi remembered complaining about the injustice she felt.

Her friend’s response was a quote that stung at first: “Jodi, the Lord opposes the proud. But gives grace to the humble.” Though she initially dismissed the advice, the words stuck with her. This led to a brave decision to stop the legal battles and send a surprising text to Panfilo. “Then I messaged him, I’m sure nagulat siya na, ‘Ha? Bakit ako minessage nito?’ Sabi ko, ‘Can I meet you in this place, at this time? Let’s talk.’ So, do’n nag-start,” the actress shared.
Jodi and Panfilo were married in 2005 and separated in 2011. They have one son together, Thirdy, who is now the center of their successful blended family. It was only in June 2024 that their marriage was officially annulled by the court. Today, Jodi stands as an inspiration for many, though she clarifies that she respects everyone’s unique struggle and acknowledges that every family journey is different.
