Neil Arce recently shared his thoughts on his son Joaquin Arce’s involvement in a tense moment inside the “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” house, following an episode that sparked conversations among viewers online.
The issue unfolded during Day 80 of the show, when what started as a simple discussion about betting eggs quickly turned into a misunderstanding between Joaquin and Ashley Sarmiento, with Lella Ford unintentionally caught in the middle.

Tension rose when Joaquin raised his hand near Ashley’s face to stop her from speaking, an action that Ashley found upsetting.
Because Lella was present during the incident and is close to both housemates, she decided to step in and talk to them separately in hopes of resolving the issue.

Although Joaquin had already apologized, Ashley initially questioned the sincerity of his apology after learning that he had spoken about the misunderstanding with other housemates.
This led her to feel that he might be seeking validation. Joaquin later clarified, during a conversation with Sofia Pablo, that he did not ask for validation and that it was the other housemates who approached him about the situation.
Eventually, Joaquin and Ashley talked again, this time with a clearer understanding. Ashley admitted that she no longer doubted his sincerity after learning what truly happened, and she assured him that they were already okay.
After hearing the sentiments of the other housemates, Lella decided to speak directly with Joaquin to give him advice. This particular moment caught the attention of Neil, who later posted a screenshot of the episode on Instagram showing Joaquin and Lella in conversation.
In his caption, Neil praised his son for how he handled the situation, commending him for facing criticism “like a man.”
He expressed that he was glad Joaquin listened, acknowledged the feedback, and showed willingness to change for the better. Neil also thanked the housemates for calling Joaquin out in a constructive way and gave special mention to Lella for being honest and brave enough to speak directly to him, calling her a true friend.
Neil ended his post on a light note, saying he felt proud of Joaquin and jokingly adding that he should cook at home once he gets out of the PBB house.
