Being away from family for work is never easy, even for a seasoned rockstar like Chito Miranda. In a long and honest Instagram post, the Parokya ni Edgar frontman shared the "guilt" and sadness he feels when his music career takes him away from his wife, Neri Naig, and their children.

"Kagabi, di ako makatulog. I was sad about something... na parang di ako mapakali," Chito began, explaining that he was alone in a hotel room in Bataan for a scheduled performance.

He admitted that even the most beautiful hotel room "feels empty" without his family by his side.

"Namiss ko family ko and felt guilty kasi malayo ako sa kanila. Feeling ko di ko sila naaalagaan," he added.

To help him find peace, Chito started listing all the moments he was present for his kids before leaving for the gig. He recalled playing basketball, hide-and-seek, and attending football practice and birthday parties with them.

"So I guess nabibigyan ko naman sila ng sapat na oras pag wala akong gig," he mused.

Chito also revealed a new pact between him and Neri, something that involved being more present.

"Neri and I also agreed to spend less time on our phones lalo na pag kasama namin mga anak namin... para mas present kami," he shared.

Ultimately, the singer expressed that he doesn't dream of excessive wealth. He is content with a life where he can bring his kids to school, not worry about bills, and simply enjoy time with his family and "tropa."
