In the viral clip, the netizen could be heard saying, "Ay si ano 'to artista, artista ito, si ano ito. Ito 'yung sikat na artista sa Pilipinas." The woman continued to follow Vice, eventually asking, "Uwi ka na ng Pinas? Happy New Year." Though clearly bothered, Vice Ganda managed to reply, "Happy New Year po. Hindi niyo nga 'ko kilala, ate." One of Vice’s companions also tried to intervene, telling the netizen, "Tama na video, mother."
Reflecting on the situation during the live show, Vice Ganda reenacted the scene to let out her frustrations. She claimed that the netizen was being "echusera" because the woman actually knew who she was before the cameras started rolling. According to the host, she saw the woman recognize her immediately, only to act clueless for the sake of the video.
Vice Ganda noted that the woman walked a significant distance just to keep filming her. "Ang layo ng nilakad niya, girl, ha. Talagang bwinisit niya talaga ako," she shared. She added that she didn't want to tell the whole story to protect the woman from further bashing, but described the encounter as "malala" or intense. "Kinontent ako, girl, kinontent ako, eh nagmamadali ako, ma-le-late na 'ko," she added, explaining that the timing was particularly stressful.
