Fans of the long-running sitcom Pepito Manaloto are currently having a field day on social media after one of its stars, John Feir, experienced a "Patrick" moment in real life. On January 3, 2026, the award-winning comedian found himself at a church in Don Bosco, Makati, fully dressed in a traditional Barong Tagalog. There was just one small problem: he was at the wrong wedding.

The hilarious incident was brought to light by his co-star and friend, Mikoy Morales. According to Mikoy’s Facebook post, Feir arrived at the church thinking he was there to witness Mikoy’s union with fiancée Isa Garcia. However, the actor had apparently misread the invitation. While the date "January 3" was prominently displayed, it was actually the deadline for guests to RSVP, not the date of the wedding, which is actually set for March.
“Nananawagan po kami: Kung sinuman ang kinasal kaninang 4pm nang hapon sa Don Bosco, Makati - baka po pwedeng makahingi ng kopya ng SDE. Andun po si john feir, siya lang ang naka-Barong,” Mikoy joked in his post. He explained that because the groom and other guests were all wearing suits, the Barong-clad Feir stood out so much that the photographers even placed him in the center of the shots.

John Feir reportedly didn’t realize the mistake until he looked at the altar and saw a groom he didn't recognize. He eventually called fellow co-star Chariz Solomon to figure out why the wedding felt "different." Mikoy couldn't help but laugh at the situation, telling Feir to just enjoy the food as a reward for his advance effort. “Kaya advance thank you sa pag punta, kuya John! I-kain mo na lang yan ng hatdog!” Mikoy added, referencing Feir’s character's love for hotdogs in their show.
Even the official wedding studio, Ikigai Studio, joined the fun by posting a photo of the actor inside the church. They captioned it with a cheeky reference to his character, “Patrick: Tama January 3 di ba?” showing the actor looking slightly bewildered while surrounded by strangers.
John Feir is a veteran comedian best known for his role as Patrick, the loyal but often slow-witted best friend of Pepito Manaloto. Throughout his career, he has been a staple in GMA Network's comedy department, often paired with Michael V. and Pekto. This real-life blunder has endeared him even more to fans, who claim that his real personality is just as entertaining as the characters he plays on screen.
The cast of Pepito Manaloto has always been known for their close-knit relationship, often sharing behind-the-scenes moments that fans love. Previously, the daughter of Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap, Shiloh, brought joy to the set with her adorable dancing. These moments of camaraderie explain why stars like John Feir are so eager to support their colleagues' milestones, even if it means arriving months too early.
While John Feir is currently the subject of jokes, he is also known for giving heartfelt advice to his peers. In a previous interview, he and fellow comedian Pekto shared their thoughts on maintaining long-term relationships and the importance of giving and taking. His dedication to his friends, as seen in his accidental wedding attendance, shows just how much he values the people he works with in the industry.
