Immunotherapy is a specialized treatment that boosts the body's natural defenses to help the immune system recognize and destroy cancer cells. For Ate Gay, this journey is just beginning, as he shared that he needs to undergo a total of twelve sessions, scheduled every twenty-one days. “Ngayon ang 2nd day ng Immuno therapy ko. Mapalad ako may Anghel na tumutulong sa akin … napakaexpensive ng imunno dito sa Pinas,” he wrote, acknowledging the high cost of the procedure.
The comedian's battle became public knowledge in September 2025 during an episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," where he disclosed his Stage 4 diagnosis. Since that revelation, help has poured in from different directions. An anonymous donor stepped up to assist with his radiation therapy, and a kind-hearted fan even provided a condominium unit for him to stay in during his treatments to ensure his comfort.
