"I have been dreaming about this, the bad guy," Richards said Sunday in Mandaluyong City.
"Iba, medyo disturbing kasi hindi ako sanay. But at the end of the day, when I saw the teaser—I think I am going to like this job."

Unlike his previous roles, the character demanded a deeper focus on posture, intensity, and preparation for action-heavy scenes.

"There are a lot of new experiences in terms of feelings, emotions, body language. Since this is an action film, stunt preps," he explained.

Richards shared that playing an antagonist opened more room for experimentation, as villains are often layered and unpredictable.

He said this creative freedom allowed him to approach the character with a fresh perspective while relying on guidance from the production team.

"Mas marami pwede laruin. At times the characterizations of antagonists, depending on the character, are quite eccentric and volatile. Good thing is I was guided by the director and writer," he said.

Beyond acting, Richards also serves as a co-producer of "Big Tiger," making it the first international venture of his production company, Myriad Entertainment.

He said the project aligns with his desire to give back to the industry and uplift Filipino talent.

"When my team and I had an idea of creating a production company, it was centered on giving back to the industry. I'm hoping this partnership we have is an opportunity to give back to the Filipinos. For us to be proud of something we have," he said.

He added that the film provided opportunities for Filipino workers to collaborate on an international scale.

"We are also able to give jobs to Filipinos and showcase their talents. Most of the team from the US has nothing but good words. And nakaka proud naman maging Pilipino because of that."

Written and directed by Keoni Waxman, "Big Tiger" is scheduled for a global theatrical release in 2026.

The film also stars Byron Mann, Katherine McNamara, Luke Goss, and Max Collins.
