In an Instagram post, Sunshine shared her joy after being named Best Supporting Actress at the Gawad Tanglaw awards for her performance in the film Lola Magdalena.

"Last night was truly unforgettable. To be recognized by Gawad Tanglaw, one of the most prestigious award giving bodies as a best supporting actress is a great honor. I am deeply grateful to be acknowledged for my role in Lola Magdalena which marks my second award for this film," Sunshine wrote, expressing her deep gratitude for the acknowledgment.
In her post, the actress revealed that the emotions of the night got the best of her when she went on stage.
"I was so nervous and overwhelmed that I wasn't able to thank everyone who has been part of my journey as an actress."

Through her post, she made sure to credit the people behind her success, including her management team at ALV Talents and her manager, Arnold Vegafria. She also gave a special shout-out to director Joel Lamangan for his guidance and the producers who trusted her with the role of Miriam.
