The actress confirmed that the issue was not new to her, explaining that she knew about the dispute before.
"I mean I've known about it for quite some time," Bela stated. When asked for clarification if she was aware of the situation before the case was filed, she revealed: "Yeah, that's why I came to Cebu a few months ago, and I texted her on the day it came out on the news also."
Bela explained that she reached out immediately when the news became public, recognizing the added pressure of online scrutiny from netizens. The actress further emphasized that her main concern was ensuring Kim did not feel isolated or judged as the story dominated the headlines when it came out.

"I think it's harder when people knew about it na because obviously everybody has something to say and that's one of the cons of the internet," she said.
She continued in the video, highlighting her want to shield Kim from external opinions on social media:
"I just didn't want her to be parang alone, and ayoko na, not just alone, but ayokong ma-feel niya na the world has something to say about what she's going through because obviously, you guys, or we don't know all the details. I just didn't want the world to feel unfair to Kim so I just texted her na if she needs anything na I'm here and she knows that naman," she said.
Bela concluded by reassuring the public that Kim has a lot of people ready to offer support during this difficult time. At one point, she even specifically mentioned another close friend, Angelica Panganiban.
"Kim has a very big support system kasi napaka-generous ni Kim na tao so maraming nakaantabay, not just me, Angelica's there for her also," she told the media.

She also took a jab at Slater Young, whose hillside project in Cebu has been linked to flooding issues.
Meanwhile, Bela Padilla has spoken out strongly against Brice Hernandez's statement. Previously, Hernandez said all DPWH projects in Bulacan's 1st District are substandard.
