When asked about the recent news surrounding Carla, the actor first shared that he echoes the sentiments of his Unmarry co-star, Angelica Panganiban, regarding leaving the past behind since it's already over.

"Gusto ko yung sinabi ni Angelica na, 'I like the peace that I have now so I'd rather not open that chapter' kasi it's already closed na eh. Before this pa, that letter was already written all the way in the past," he stated, valuing the quiet and stable life he has achieved in recent times.

He made it clear that he intends to keep his focus on the present, having closed the book on his previous relationship.

"Gusto ko yung peace na meron ako ngayon, and mas dun na lang ako magfo-focus. So yung past? I don't wanna open anymore," the actor also reiterated to the media.

Regarding Carla's widely engagement, Tom offered a mature and sincere reaction, wishing both Carla and her partner happiness, as well as his happiness that everyone is 'finally moving on' from the past as well.

"Yeah, I wish her well. I wish them well. Everyone deserves happiness and everyone deserves to move on and I'm glad we're all finally moving on," he affirmed.
