In a recent interview with Bianca Gonzalez, the "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo" lead actor reflected on the personal changes and realizations he has experienced in his 40s—changes he admits he never expected to value as much as he does now.

According to Coco, one of the most significant shifts in his mindset is learning to stay calm.

“Ako mas nagiging kahit papaano, kumalma. Mas natuto akong mag palagpas ng mga bagay-bagay,” he said, noting how he used to involve himself in everything and insist on how things should be done.

Now, he finds himself more willing to let things go. Even when he receives a script he’s not entirely happy with, he chooses to respond with grace.

Coco acknowledged that while he still maintains a high standard for his craft, he has accepted that not everything needs to be a perfect score.

Another major lesson he learned is the importance of saying no—a skill he admits he never used to have.

Ngayon sabi ko nga hindi, kumbaga nirereserve ko na to para sa sarili ko,” he said, emphasizing the need to protect his time, energy, and peace.
