Authorities are digging deeper into the sudden death of Vivamax actress Gina Lima, who was found lifeless inside her condominium unit in Brgy. Katipunan, Quezon City, Philstar reported.

The 23-year-old actress was discovered by her former partner, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, early Thursday morning.

Ronquillo, 24, told police that around 8:30 a.m., when he woke up, Gina was no longer moving, prompting him to bring her to the Quezon City General Hospital.

Medical staff later declared her dead on arrival. Based on an initial report, Lima’s cause of death was noted as “cardio respiratory distress.”

The two had reportedly been separated for three years, but Ronquillo had recently visited Lima in her condo.

His involvement in the discovery of her body stirred strong reactions online.

As news of Lima’s death spread, social media posts were flooded with messages of grief, along with anger and suspicion directed toward Ronquillo.

Some of Lima’s friends claimed in their posts that the actress often appeared with bruises, hinting at a troubling pattern.

A number of commenters even suggested that she may have died from physical assault, though authorities have yet to confirm any such claims.

Complicating matters further, police said they currently do not know Ronquillo’s whereabouts following his report of the incident.

Investigators are working to determine whether foul play was involved or if the actress’s death was truly a medical emergency as the initial report suggested.

As of now, the Quezon City Police District continues its investigation, hoping to uncover the truth behind the tragic loss of the young actress whose passing has left fans and friends in shock.

In a previous report by KAMI, a family of three was mercilessly shot and killed inside their store in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll-up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspects even grabbed a bag and a mobile phone from the victim. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
