Bianca Umali pens heartfelt tribute to her ‘Encantadia’ role as Terra: “You awakened my soul”

Bianca Umali expressed her deep affection and gratitude for her "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre" character, Terra, whom she described as a role that touched her soul.

In an Instagram post, the Kapuso actress shared a photo of Terra alongside a moving, poetic letter addressed to the new keeper of the Brilyante ng Lupa.

“Terra, mula sa unang araw na binigkas ang pangalan mo, alam kong hindi lang ito isang papel na gagampanan ko,” she began. “Isa kang panata, isang panawagan ng kalikasan, isang tinig ng lupa.”

Bianca said her connection to the character went beyond performance.

“Buong pagkatao ko, inialay ko sa’yo. Bawat sugat ng katawan, bawat puyat, bawat luha, lahat 'yon, ikaw ang dahilan,” she wrote, adding that Terra awakened a part of her spirit she never knew existed.

She also expressed admiration for Terra’s essence, calling her “ang tagapangalaga ng Brilyante ng Lupa, ang tinig ng katahimikan, ang lakas ng kababaang-loob, ang puso ng daigdig.”

Bianca ended her tribute by saying, “At ako… ako lang ang pinagpala na naging daan mo para marinig ka ng mundo.”

Meanwhile, Bianca’s real-life partner, Ruru Madrid, praised her performance and dedication. Terra belongs to the new generation of Sang’gres alongside Flammara (Faith Da Silva), Deia (Angel Guardian), and Adamus (Kelvin Miranda).

The fantasy series airs on GMA Network weeknights at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras" and is also available on the Kapuso Stream on YouTube.
