Kapuso actress Bianca Umali took to social media to appeal to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 officials to provide additional seating for passengers and guests amid the ongoing renovations at the facility.

In her Instagram Stories earlier this week, Umali shared photos of Terminal 3’s current state, where numerous travelers could be seen sitting on the floor while waiting for their flights.

Her post quickly gained traction online as netizens echoed her concerns and called for better accommodations.

“With all due respect po, we understand that our airports are currently under construction––as you’ve said, ‘we are building a better NAIA for you,’” Umali wrote in her open letter to airport authorities.

“Dahil dito naiintindihan po namin sa maraming kagamitan at upuan ang pansamantalang inalis upang magbigay-daan sa mas maayos na konstruksyon.”

While she acknowledged the improvements being made, Umali emphasized the need to prioritize passengers’ comfort, especially for those who may struggle to stand for long periods.

“Ngunit nakikiusap lang po… Kung maaari po sana ay makapaglagay man lang ng mga temporary chairs o kahit simpleng upuan para sa mga pasaherong naghihintay ng kanilang flights––lalo na po para sa ating mga nanay, lola, at mga batang kababayan,” she added.
She concluded her post with a hopeful message: “Para naman po sana, kahit sa gitna ng pagbabago, ay hindi na po nila kailangang umupo sa sahig habang naghihintay.”
Many of her followers supported the actress’ appeal, with one netizen commenting, “Kahit man lang mono block chairs grabe! Nakakadiri kaya pag ganyan… hay naku.”

Others expressed hope that airport management would respond promptly to the concern.
