Authorities in Rodriguez, Rizal, are investigating the brutal killing of a man whose body was discovered in a vacant lot in Barangay San Rafael early Sunday morning, October 12.

According to a report by ABS-CBN News, residents were shocked to find the lifeless body of a man with his head wrapped in tape, his hands bound, and multiple stab wounds across his body.

Police said the discovery was made around dawn, and initial findings suggest that the victim may have been killed elsewhere and dumped in the area.

Investigators are now working to determine the man’s identity and possible motive behind the attack.

“Pinuluputan ng tape ang ulo, nakagapos ang mga kamay at tadtad ng saksak,” the report stated, describing the grim scene that greeted authorities.

This incident adds to the growing list of violent crimes reported across the country in recent weeks.

Just last week, a body was found stuffed inside a sack in Bocaue, Bulacan, while in General Trias, Cavite, a man was discovered dead inside an abandoned vehicle, also bearing signs of torture.

Residents in Rodriguez have since called for increased patrols and security measures in the area.

Meanwhile, police urged anyone with information about the victim or suspects to come forward to aid in the ongoing investigation.

Authorities are also reviewing nearby CCTV footage to trace possible leads and identify the perpetrators behind the gruesome killing.
