Comedienne Rufa Mae Quinto opened up about finding strength and healing through her participation in the latest season of "Your Face Sounds Familiar," saying the show came at a time when she needed it most following the passing of her husband, Trevor Magallanes.

“Dumaan na ko sa problema at drama. Kaya sabi ko, gusto ko naman may gawin na maganda [at para] malibang. Kailangan ko 'yun kasi naglu-luksa kaming mag-ina. Para mabitbit ko din 'yung kaligayahan sa anak ko,” Rufa shared during the show’s press conference.
She revealed that joining the program helped her move forward while offering a renewed sense of purpose.

“I really wanted to audition for this,” she said, adding that it felt like the right time to return to showbiz after years of focusing on her family.

“I haven’t been full blast in showbiz for a long time — almost 10 years — because I was focused on my family. But now that my daughter is eight and a little more independent, I told myself maybe it’s time I go full-time with my career again,” she continued.
The new season of Your Face Sounds Familiar premiered on October 4, with Sharon Cuneta, Gary Valenciano, and Ogie Alcasid returning as judges. Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario now serve as hosts, while Nyoy Volante and Klarisse de Guzman mentor the contestants.
Among the eight performers are Akira Morishita, Alexa Ilacad, Jason Dy, Pepe Herrera, and Rufa Mae herself—bringing laughter, music, and inspiration to viewers once again.
