Kapamilya star Janella Salvador recently opened up about her thoughts on staying friends with an ex.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, she admitted she has never experienced it personally.

She explained that while it may be possible for others, it is often difficult because it stirs up old emotions.

Janella said, I've never experienced that personally.

But I think it's possible for some, maybe. But it's hard to go through because you are prone to dig up many different emotions.

The actress will star in the upcoming Cinemalaya film Open Endings.

The story revolves around four characters who were once lovers but later became friends.

Despite not having gone through the same situation in real life, she said her role as Charlie resonated with her.

She shared how much she enjoyed portraying Charlie on set.

"Honestly, while filming, I was just thinking the whole time how much I enjoyed this role. I was enjoying embodying and being Charlie," she said.

Janella added that she liked how chaotic, emotional, and playful the character was, describing the experience as a wild ride. She said it has been a while since she played such a role.

It can be recalled that Janella separated from her former partner Markus Paterson in 2022. At present, the two are co-parenting their son, Jude.

Janella Salvador is a Filipina actress. She is the daughter of Jenine Desiderio and Rage band frontman, Juan Miguel Salvador. She rose to fame for her portrayal of Nikki Grace “Nik-Nik” Lim in "Be Careful With My Heart." She played the role of Valentina in ABS-CBN's "Mars Ravelo's Darna" series. She has a child with her former boyfriend Markus Paterson named Jude Trevor Paterson.
