Actor and comedian Bayani Agbayani made a strong appeal to the government about politicians who he said have been stealing from public funds for a long time.
In his Instagram post, Bayani directly called on both the Senate and the House of Representatives to bring back death penalty to stop corruption in the country.
He said lawmakers should urgently create a law that punishes government officials who steal, whether it is just one peso or even trillions, with execution.
Bayani mentioned possible penalties such as death by firing squad, lethal injection, and electric chair, saying this must be done since plunder is included under death penalty.

He pleaded with lawmakers to act now, stressing that corrupt politicians have been stealing since he and others were still young.
According to him, they already live in beautiful houses and drive luxury cars because of the money they stole from the people.
Bayani also took aim at political dynasties, pointing out that the same family names have been ruling for years and are the same ones who continue to take from the government.
He ended his message by stressing that these politicians have thick faces for staying in power while stealing from the people.
While Bayani did not mention specific names, his statement made clear his call for accountability through death penalty.
It may be recalled that comedian and TV host Vice Ganda also previously voiced support for the death penalty for corrupt officials.
