Kristel Fulgar recently got candid about a past misunderstanding she had with fellow content creator Benedict Cua during an episode of his show Potluck Saturdays. In the 32-minute video, the two fondly looked back on their iconic 'Bennyboi and Tellygurl' tandem that once entertained many fans online, before revisiting the conflict that temporarily strained their friendship.

"Ako, na-enjoy ko. Kailangan kasi siyang gawan ng script, hindi siya pwede spontaneous kasi yung sa Snapchat, one minute lang," Kristel shared, revealing how much thought went into their collaborations. To this, Benedict added that Kristel always had a natural skill in writing scripts. "Since bata ka, artista ka na, so sanay ka na sa mga script," he said. The actress, on her part, admitted her passion for creative projects, replying, "Gusto ko talaga yung mga production."

The lighthearted reminiscence between the two celebrities, however, shifted when Benedict eventually brought up their past rift, saying, "Kaya siya nanggigil sakin sa OCTV. Sa channel."

Kristel then opened up about the situation and confessed: "Ang laki kasi ng vision ko for OCTV." Both explained that OCTV was supposed to be a production platform for a series of web episodes showcasing their tandem. "Magpo-produce ng mga web series, kaya na-bad trip ako sa kanya kasi…" Kristel began, before Benedict admitted, "To be fair, mali ko, valid yung bad trip niya."

Kristel elaborated further, recalling the frustration she felt: "Oo, kasi parang meron na kaming sinimulan na reality variety show. Ang ganda na nung idea tapos gumastos na kami, magsu-shoot na lang halos, tas nag-back out siya. Pinasok naming dalawa tapos iniwan ako sa ere."

Acknowledging the weight of her words, Benedict admitted his mistake: "100%, it was my fault. Yun talaga yung [peak] ng depression ko talaga, sobrang pressured ako sa career ko, tas sobrang pressured din ako dun sa na-commit ko na bagong production, and I never backed out in my life."

The raw and vulnerable exchange revealed not only the challenges of managing creative partnerships but also the pressures both faced in their personal and professional lives at the time. Despite the rift, the episode highlighted their growth and the maturity with which they could revisit the past and still remain as close as ever, touching the hearts of their many fans online.
