Singer-songwriter and "It's Showtime" host Ogie Alcasid strongly denied false posts claiming he was confined in a hospital for lung cancer treatment.
He said in an Instagram post that the story and photos spreading online are fake news.
According to him, this is not the first time he has been targeted by such misleading posts.
The same set of photos, showing him lying on a hospital bed, was used back in April 2024 to spread another false story.

At that time, a fake news page claimed he was hospitalized due to osteoarthritis and later healed by applying a certain cream.
Those posts even included a picture of a doctor, packaging of the product, and another image showing him looking strong while doing outdoor activities.
In his latest post, Ogie clarified that he has never endorsed any cream or product. He also warned the public not to believe or fall for these scams.
He stressed that he is healthy and that the rumors are completely untrue.
Ogie's wife is Regine Velasquez, a well-known Filipino singer, actress, and television host who is often called Asia’s Songbird because of her powerful voice and wide vocal range.
She started her career at a young age, won singing contests, and later became one of the most successful recording artists in the Philippines with numerous hit songs and albums.

It has 84,000 likes and 82,000 followers on the said platform. As per the renowned singer-songwriter, the fake account falsely claimed that he has tuberculosis to scam people. The “It’s Showtime” host and “ASAP Natin ‘To” mainstay also urged his followers to report the account.
