Iza Calzado, a well-known Filipina actress, poured her heart out on Sunday, September 14, as she reflected on the controversial political issues currently surrounding the Philippines. In an emotional social media post, the actress shared how difficult it has been for her to process the unfolding events while being far from home, and just gathering local news from her friends.
Nagalit. Natawa sa ibang memes at post. Nagalit muli sa karagdagang mga balita," Iza began in her post.

The actress admitted that distance has made it even harder to cope, as she is currently not in the Philippines. Pakiramdam ko wala akong magawa dahil ang layo ko," she wrote, underscoring her feelings of helplessness as well.
Despite this, Iza emphasized her deep solidarity with her fellow Filipinos. She expressed grief over what has been lost as a nation but reminded everyone of the importance of unity and shared accountability.

Her post resonated with many, as it pointed to the painful realities facing the country while also highlighting the need for action. Iza stressed that Filipinos should not solely depend on others to create change, but instead recognize the power of collective responsibility and change as well.
By the end of her heartfelt message, Iza anchored her thoughts in prayer and hope: "Habang nakatingin ako sa ulap, aking ipinagdarasal ang ating mahal na Pilipinas," the actress shared.
