Angelu de Leon, an actress-turned-politician, has publicly expressed her support for Pasig City's Mayor, Vico Sotto. On Saturday, August 23, Angelu took to her Instagram to share a black-and-white quote card declaring her firm stance alongside their city mayor. In her post, she wrote:

"Pagtapos ma-expose, ano na? Sa amin sa Pasig, klaro bakit namin ito ginagawa. Bukod sa magkakaroon ng hustisya, gusto namin maibalik sa Pasigueño yung ninakaw sa kanila. Itigil na ang sistematik na korupsyon! #IStandWithMayorVicoSotto," the actress wrote on her account.
Her post quickly garnered attention from netizens, many of whom also rallied behind Mayor Vico, praising his consistent stand for transparency and accountability throughout the years as well.

Angelu's statement further amplifies the call for good governance in Pasig, reflecting the growing support for Mayor Vico's leadership among both ordinary citizens and public figures alike.
Angelu de Leon is a Filipina actress who rose to fame in the 1990s as one of the most popular teen stars of her generation. She became widely recognized through her role in the hit youth-oriented show T.G.I.S., where she played the iconic character Peachy. Her natural charm, relatable persona, and acting talent made her a household name among Filipino audiences. Angelu went on to star in various television dramas and films, cementing her status as one of the most prominent young actresses of her era. Since then, Angelu has remained respected in the local showbiz industry.

Meanwhile, back in June 2024, Angelu de Leon shared on GMA Public Affairs' Pinoy MD her experience after suffering from Bell’s Palsy twice. She recalled first experiencing symptoms in 2000, which began with heaviness on one side of her face. After two weeks, her face returned to normal, but in 2016 her Bell’s Palsy returned.
