Dani Barretto recalls conversation with her husband days before the wedding: "I told him to run"

Dani Barretto, a well-known internet personality and content creator, opened up about a deeply emotional and personal moment from her past in a recent episode of her podcast, The Bare It All.

In the new episode, Dani candidly revealed that just days before her 2019 wedding to DJ and entrepreneur Xavi Panlilio, she told him to run away and not go through with the marriage.

The confession came as Dani reflected on the events following her discovery that she was pregnant. "When I got pregnant, I had a conversation with my husband and I told him, 'We don't have to get married, okay? You don't have to marry me. We can wait, it's fine,’" she recalled.

Despite Xavi consistently reassuring her that he wanted to marry her and had long-term plans for their life together, Dani admitted she still wasn't fully convinced. "I know he had plans with his life and he really assured me consistently that he wanted to marry me and you know what? Hindi pa rin ako convinced and not because he wasn't convincing, it's because I was guilty that I felt like I was taking the life out of him," the internet personality shared to their many viewers online.

Dani even went on to share the most intense part of her internal struggle back then: "There was one time I told him, 'Wag na lang.' Days before the wedding, I told him to run. I said, 'Run, you can be a dad to our kid, you can see your kid anytime you want, but please have the life you want.’"

She added that much of her fear and guilt stemmed from the judgment she was receiving from others at the time. "People got to me that I was 'trapping' him," she admitted to her guest.
