During her fourth year of high school, Jennica spent a year teaching in a shelter, where she witnessed the harsh reality that children as young as nine can become pregnant simply because they had started menstruating.
In a recent Bible Study, Jennica befriended lawyer Obed Dela Cruz and took the opportunity to discuss the sensitive topic of abortion.
Dela Cruz explained that the proper term is “termination of pregnancy,” a procedure doctors in the Philippines perform only when necessary to save the mother’s life. In such cases, it is considered ethically acceptable, both legally and biblically.

“As a follower of Christ, it will likely come as no surprise to you that I am Pro-Life,” Jennica shared.
However, she stressed that her advocacy is not only for the unborn child but also for the mother—especially those who feel abandoned, alone, and silenced by trauma.
Jennica connected her beliefs to her latest film role as “Menggay,” a 13-year-old victim of sexual violence.
She emphasized that Menggay is not just a character but represents countless real girls living in fear and neglect.
The actress announced her plans to revisit the shelter where she once tutored, seeking ways to take concrete action.
She asked for prayers for guidance, wisdom, and support as she strives to create a plan to serve women and children who have suffered in silence for far too long.
