Jewel Mische reveals Paulo Avelino once courted her during StarStruck days

Actress Jewel Mische opened up about her past connection with actor Paulo Avelino during her time on StarStruck Season 4, revealing that he seriously courted her back then.

In the June 26 episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, host Boy Abunda asked Jewel if anyone from StarStruck had shown romantic interest in her.

“Medyo ilan-ilan sa kanila ang nag-show ng interest. Pero ‘yung seryoso talaga was Paulo Avelino,” Jewel shared candidly.

She recalled that Paulo became someone she could lean on during that time.

“Kami rin ‘yung naging close. Siya talaga ‘yung tagapagtanggol ko that time,” she said, referring to Paulo as her protector.

Jewel also reminisced about being paired with Paulo in a few love team projects after their StarStruck stint. However, she clarified that their relationship never became official.

“‘Yung official, hindi. Hindi kami naging…,” Jewel trailed off, making it clear that while there may have been mutual affection, they never officially became a couple.

Jewel was crowned as the Ultimate Sweetheart during StarStruck 4 and has since moved on to a fulfilling personal life.

She is now happily married to her American husband, Alister Kurzer. The couple has three daughters: Aislah Rose, Emerald Jade, and Yzbel Quinn.

Although the romance with Paulo never blossomed into something formal, Jewel’s story gave fans a rare glimpse into the behind-the-scenes connections formed during the reality show’s early seasons.

Previously, the beautiful actress happily announced some good news on social media concerning her pregnancy.

The former actress shared with her followers that she was pregnant with her third baby.

Jewel Mische is a model, actress, and product endorser. She rose to prominence when she won and was named as the Ultimate Sweetheart on GMA Network's talent reality search, StarStruck. She also became known for her roles in “Maria la del Barrio,” “100 Days to Heaven” and “La Lola.”

Last year, Jewel gave birth to her baby, Emerald Jade Kurzer. A month after giving birth, the Starstruck alumna posted her postpartum photo where it could be seen as though she did not even give birth. In Jewel's post, she said that there are a lot of women who are scared at the prospect of experiencing changes in their bodies after giving birth. However, she said that she is proud of all the changes that she has gone through.

Jewel also shared a clip of her singing her daughter to sleep with a Filipino lullaby. She sang "Sa Ugoy ng Duyan" to put her 2-month-old daughter to sleep in an Instagram post she shared.
