In a candid statement, Priscilla recalled the time that things exploded on social media.
She explained that when things publicly escalated, her decision to leave the relationship had already been made, as she could no longer stay in a situation where she was unhappy.
Priscilla expressed that she has been at peace for the past two years, but what held her back was the internal conflict of living with values that went against her upbringing.

As a mother, she emphasized the importance of setting an example for her daughter and rejecting societal norms that silence women and normalize male misbehavior.
Now entering a new chapter under Viva, Priscilla is reclaiming her narrative—no longer afraid to speak out, and determined to stand up for dignity, respect, and truth.
Here is her full statement:
"Medyo na-vocal or na-burst na-explode sa social media na yon. Pero I don't think it's a secret to anyone that John's always been the way he is. So let's just say that when things exploded, decision's already made and that's why it happened. Ah because I really didn't want anymore to stay in a situation, where I was not happy.
I am very at peace. Two years ago at peace na ako eh. It's just that I was not content with the fact na, kasi ako, I was the type of person who was brought up in a family na respect is very important. Being isang nanay, I really have to teach my daughter right, and I don't want to normalize what is wrong in society. Especially in a society na you know, men can do as they please, nobody says anything. Society accepts. And women would just have to be quiet and smile because they're paying for the bills. That's unfair. So in that scenario, I don't want to be one of those women who would say it's okay because it is not."
Priscilla Meirelles, the wife of John Estrada, is a Brazilian model, host, actress, environmentalist, and beauty queen. In 2004, she won the Miss Earth title, the pageant night being held in the Philippines. She also became Miss Globe in 2003.
