This isn't the first time Jake has taken a public stand to protect not just himself but also his daughter, Ellie, since earlier, he made headlines after calling out a vlogger who took a video of Ellie without her consent. A video that has gone viral on several platforms across social media.
The incident prompted the actor to announce that he was exploring 'legal options' afterward.
The issue sparked wider discussion about online accountability and digital ethics with Ogie Diaz even weighing in on the issue about Jake and the vlogger through his latest Showbiz Update vlog.
"Paminsan ano, yung ibang vloggers, lumalampas sa ulo. Talagang parang ang feeling nila eh umangat yung views. Nananahimik yung bata, hindi naman artista, ayaw naman talaga niyang magpakuha, wala ka namang consent, ilalabas mo. Jusko," Ogie shared in his previous video.
Jake's firm stance has been met with support from many netizens who applaud his courage in defending both his personal boundaries and those of his child who is not even in showbiz too.
