On Wednesday, June 4, Carlos posted a side-by-side photo of himself — one bearded, the other clean-shaven — to show the transformation he underwent after public scrutiny over his looks.
However, more than the images, it was his caption that went viral, "Sa dami ng pumuna sa akin ng lait, pagkatao ko, status ko sa buhay, ng walang pakundangan, nag-trending [at] viral tayo. Di nila naisip na 1st time ko di mag-shave for 1 month at 45 years old dahil buong buhay ko kailagan matinee idol, pa-pogi, may certain character," he wrote, addressing the unkind comments he got.
Following the strong reaction to his unshaven look, Carlos then gave in to public requests and shaved. Still, he challenged the cruelty behind many of the comments online by asking, "Mukha pa rin po bang stressed? Taong grasa? Senior citizen? May sakit? Ba*g? Bakla? Laos? Naghihirap?"

In a moving reminder, he emphasized the importance of kindness: "Kahit ano po pinagdadaanan natin sa buhay, dapat tayo ay mapagkumbaba, madasalin, may takot, at pagmamahal sa Diyos at kapwa. May respeto sa lahat mahirap man o mayaman, sikat man o hindi," the actor had written.
He further pointed out the hypocrisy of people who treat others differently based on their status: "Malalaman mo ang tunay na tingin sayo ng tao pag iniisip nila [na] ikaw ay walang wala at nasa ibaba. Pag sikat ka at successful, lahat gustong maging kaibigan mo," Carlos wrote in his post.
In closing, Carlos and his partner Sarina extended their gratitude to those who offered kindness during a difficult time, "Gusto lang namin ni Mrs. #SarinaAgassi [na] magpasalamat sa lahat ng heartfelt messages niyo, nakatulong po dahil masakit po talaga mga sinabi nila tungkol sa akin," he shared. His message serves as a powerful call for empathy and reflection in the digital age.

As previously reported by KAMI, Carlos Agassi opened up about his struggle with depression after a serious injury involving his ACL, MCL, and meniscus. He credited his wife Sarina Agassi as his only constant support during his recovery and emotional battles. The actor shared how Sarina helped him physically and emotionally, even assisting with workouts while he was on crutches.
Meanwhile, Carlos Agassi also shared a side-by-side photo of himself at 18 and 45 online. He emphasized that true beauty comes from within, saying it's important to grow not just outwardly but also internally as we age.
