Bela Padilla recently took to Instagram to share her deeply personal experience portraying "Nadia" in a special "Maalaala Mo Kaya" (MMK) two-part episode.

In her emotional post, Bela expressed how profoundly the role transformed her, admitting she initially believed she was strong—until she stepped into Nadia’s painful reality.

Filming Nadia’s story over just four days left a lasting impact on Bela, who described undergoing a transformation “physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.”

She detailed the extreme emotions the character endured: betrayal, abuse, hunger, paranoia, trauma, and rage.

“I still couldn’t wrap my head around what she fully went through,” she confessed.

Bela expressed gratitude to MMK, Charo Santos, and director Raz de la Torre for trusting her with such a sensitive and powerful narrative.

She also praised the crew and her makeup artist for helping bring authenticity to the role, saying looking in the mirror after makeup “already got me into character.”

Despite being surrounded by men for most of the shoot, she felt safe and supported, highlighting the presence of a “village of women” behind the scenes who consistently checked in on her well-being.

In a heartfelt message addressed directly to Nadia, Bela wrote, “Thank you for surviving. Thank you for sharing your story.”

She ended the post with a touching offer of support, hoping that Nadia—and others who watch—find healing through the telling of her story.
