On Tuesday, June 3, Melissa took to Instagram to expose the deepf*ke video, which showed her speaking with altered facial movements and an artificial voice that mimicked her own as well.

The disturbing video included the line, "Panoorin ang kwento ni Melissa Ricks. Dito rin pwedeng magsimula ang bagong yugto ng buhay mo," prompting Melissa to respond publicly on Instagram.

"I am NOT the one SPEAKING, they edited my mouth and put my voice on it? This is scary... Why is this even allowed? False information, and stealing all my content to SELL their product," she said.

The actress went on to describe the video as horrible, especially because it also involved her husband, Michael Macatangay, "This is horrible. Dinamay pa asawa ko. Kawawa naman maloloko... Please help me repost this. I don't know how, but this is unacceptable," she added.

The post quickly garnered attention, with fellow celebrities expressing their concern as well.

Joross Gamboa reacted with, "Grabe!" to which Melissa replied, "Kaka-comment ko lang kay Michael V nung isang araw... ako naman now. Katakot 'no?" Other stars like Ara Mina, Vina Morales, and Crisha Uy also showed their concern over Melissa's fake and AI-edited video.

Meanwhile, back in 2024, Melissa Ricks greatly inspired her followers on social media. Apparently, the actress is 32 pounds down amid her current weight loss journey. In her post, Melissa even compared how she looked before to her current state. Needless to say, Melissa is ecstatic to be able to lose such a huge number on the scale.
