KZ emphasized her desire to fully immerse herself in her thriving music career, while also highlighting the importance of not succumbing to societal pressures when making such a significant life decision.

During a recent appearance on SB19’s “Time First” podcast, the "Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako” hitmaker candidly discussed her reasons.

“Mas ako 'yung mas ayaw pa... for now,” she stated, indicating her personal inclination to delay motherhood for the time being.

The singer further explained her reasoning, asserting, “I think I'm in my season of waiting sa career ko na parang ngayon, I am happy with where I am pero I am hoping na sana may mangyari pa na I have more songs, parang ganun.”

This suggests a strong drive to maximize her artistic output and achieve further milestones in her musical journey.

KZ stressed that her decision is not a definitive closure to the idea of having children, but rather a conscious choice to take her time.

“We are not saying we are closing the doors, but I am trying to take my time kasi I also don't want to force myself to become a mother just because I was pressured,” she articulated, addressing the common societal expectations placed on married couples to start a family.

A significant concern for the singer is the potential for regret or inadvertently shortchanging her future child of the attention they deserve.

“Ayaw kong dumating ‘yung time na 'pag nabuntis ako, baka ‘pag dumating na ‘yung time na may anak na ako, I don't want to rob my child of the time that they deserve because gusto ko pang mag-work nang mag-work,” she explained, highlighting her fear of looking back and wishing she had pursued her career aspirations more vigorously.
She added, “Ayaw ko rin dumating 'yung time na baka 'pag hindi na ako mag-work, baka at the back of my mind may regret ako na hindi ko napaglaban 'yung career ko.”

While acknowledging the universal truth that “one will never be ready as a parent,” KZ firmly believes that making the leap into motherhood purely out of external pressure is “not correct.”

Despite her current stance, the devout artist concluded with a note of faith, expressing her acceptance should parenthood be part of a divine plan. “Kahit sabihin natin, ayaw pa namin, ayaw ko pa, 'pag binigay naman ng Panginoon ‘yan, I believe it's meant to happen. Baka ako lang hindi pa ako ready pero kapag binigay ng Panginoon ‘yan, then the Lord must think I am ready,” she affirmed.

This isn't the first time KZ and TJ have spoken about their family plans. In past interviews, especially after their marriage in 2020, they have consistently mentioned enjoying their time as a couple first.

TJ himself recently released a new song, “Longing, Waiting,” which he described as a “prayer of longing and waiting” for a future child, indicating his readiness.

However, both artists have maintained that they want to experience more as a duo, travel, and fully enjoy their careers before welcoming a new addition to their family.

Their transparency offers a glimpse into the personal considerations that prominent figures face when balancing career ambitions with deeply personal life choices.
