In her post, she reve;ed her “pre-surfing essentials,” a series of products and habits designed to shield her skin from the sun’s harsh rays.

This came as a direct response to ongoing comments from netizens who assume her sun-loving, island lifestyle since moving to Siargao means she neglects her health.

Her caption read, “For the most assumed assumption about me: ‘pinabayaan nya talaga ang sarili nya’ (‘she let herself go when she moved to the island’). People often assume that just because I love being under the sun or in the ocean, I don’t care about my skin’s health. PSA it’s not the sun itself that ruins your skin—it’s neglecting to protect it. This is exactly why I make the effort to care for it even more. Sometimes I would still forget but now that I’ve been 27 for 7 years now, I am making it a point to always remember!”
