Kim Chiu, a Kapamilya superstar, turned emotional during the Saturday, May 10 episode of It's Showtime, as she opened up about her late mother in a personal and heartbreaking revelation.

As the show touched on Mother's Day, Kim recalled how her mother wasn't the expressive type—rarely showing affection through hugs or kisses—but instead showed her love by giving gifts.

However, what truly moved the audience was Kim's painful admission about her childhood.

"10 years old pa lang ako, wala na, hindi ko na siya nakasama because of personal problems na ayaw niya na kaming makita. Huli ko siyang nakita, 23 years old na ako tapos comatose siya," she shared, her voice breaking with emotion as she recalled a few sad memories a couple of years ago.

The actress revealed how the absence of her mother left a void as well, "Every Mother's Day, naiinggit ako sa mga taong may nanay.

What hurt even more, Kim admitted, was never having the chance to give back to her mom after everything, "Never na akong nakabawi sa kanya nung mga panahong kaya ko nang magbigay ng mga gusto niya.

Before ending her message, Kim offered heartfelt advice to the viewers of their noontime show.
