Mika Dela Cruz’s latest social media post served as a fitspiration to netizens who want to lose weight!

On Friday, May 9, the former child actress took to her Instagram page and posted a reel that displayed several clips showing her physique that gradually changed from 139 lbs to 106 lbs.

Mika also penned a lengthy and emotional caption about her fitness journey.

“I started feeling hopeless, hating my appearance to the point of hiding myself.. I gave up on my weight loss journey thinking it would never be possible for me anymore,” part of her caption reads.

“Eventually I gave it to JESUS & I asked him to help me see myself the way that he did. I started inclining my ears to LISTEN to what HE THINKS & SAYS about me. Not what the world keeps on throwing at me.”

When she wasn’t trying to impose change on her body anymore, Mika met someone who helped her achieve her fitness goals.

“I met Dr. @roland_angeles_md/ A doctor specializing in health-related weight management whom me & my family now call friend. He helped re-train the way that I ate and became the friendliest accountability buddy to me, my ate & my sister-in-law. His diet program will teach you discipline - is sustainable, will not make you feel weak, is gentle while giving true results. He is so confident in what he does and I remember him telling me what to expect before starting at hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na ito na ang progress namin together.”

In the comments section of the post, it could be noticed that Alexa Ilacad reacted to Mika’s inspiring post.

“SLAYYY!!! Great job!!” Alexa wrote, gushing over her fellow ex-Goin’ Bulilit star’s current shape.

Mika then penned a sweet response to Alexa in no time.
