Ice Seguerra remembered Ricky Davao in his heartfelt social media post published on Saturday, May 3.

On his Instagram page, Ice shared a black-and-white photo captured during their last get-together for Ricky’s birthday.

In the caption, Ice recalled how supportive Ricky was to him and Liza Diño.

“You’ve always been there for me and Liza. Sa kahit anong event, performance-never ka nawala. Siguro, kung meron akong katapat sa pagiging excited kumanta tuwing nakakakita ng mic, ikaw yun. Napakasarap mong kakwentuhan, ka-jamming, at kaibigan.”

In his letter to Ricky, the singer-songwriter revealed he was able to visit the veteran actor-director in the hospital.

“Masaya ako na nadalaw pa kita sa hospital. Kahit hindi ka na noon makasalita, madaldal ka pa rin. Hindi ko malilimutan yung saya mo noon nung sinabi nung doctor mo na pwede ka na kumain ng chocolate. At yung ngiti mo nung sinabi ko sa iyo na buti nag shave ka na ng buhok dahil mas pogi ka at mukha kang mas bata,” Ice narrated, recollecting his last moments with Ricky.

The musician then emotionally penned, “I really thought you were going to get better. Na magkakaroon ulit ng time na makaka hang out ka ulit namin or makikita kong nanonood ka ng concert ko. Someday, mag du-duet tayo ulit.”

Ice concluded his heartbreaking post by leaving an earnest farewell message to Ricky.

“I will miss you, Tito Ricky. You’re finally home.”

Ricky Davao, born Frederick Charles Caballes Davao on May 30, 1961, in Manila, was a well-known figure in Philippine entertainment. He began his career as a dancer before shifting to acting, where he became a familiar face in movies, television, and theater. Coming from a family of artists, he was the son of veteran actor Charlie Davao and the younger brother of Bing Davao. He was also once married to actress Jackie Lou Blanco, and they had three children together, including Arabella Davao, who also entered showbiz.

Arnold Clavio posted his reaction to Ricky’s untimely passing. On Instagram, the Kapuso veteran broadcaster expressed sadness over the unfortunate news. Igan likewise wished the veteran actor and director’s soul eternal peace.

Ara Davao, late actor Ricky Davao's daughter with his ex-wife Jackie Lou Blanco, shared the reason for her father's passing. On Instagram, Ara announced the passing of her father, and followed it with the cause of his death. She mentioned that after Davao bravely fought complications related to cancer, sadly, he succumbed to it on May 1, 2025. It can be recalled that back in 2024, Ricky Davao was diagnosed with a terminal illness, but the exact details were kept private.
