It can be recalled that the singer-actress filed an “acts of lasciviousness” complaint against the actor-comedian.
The arraignment took place at the Bacoor City Municipal Trial Court on Tuesday, April 29, marking a significant step in the ongoing legal proceedings.
According to reports, the Bacoor court also granted a request from Archie’s legal team for a gag order.

This order restricts all parties involved in the case from publicly discussing the specifics and merits of the allegations outside of the courtroom.
Following the hearing, Archie refrained from making any comments regarding his plea.
Rita, who was present during the arraignment alongside her legal counsel, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, addressed reporters briefly.
While expressing her emotional distress over the situation, she conveyed her unwavering faith in the eventual revelation of the truth.
“I feel bad. I mean, ako, I know my truth and I know God is with me and kahit anong mangyari, kahit gaano pa katagal, lalabas at lalabas 'yung totoo,” Rita stated, emphasizing her conviction in the legal process.
The case originated in October 2024 when the singer-actress filed a formal complaint against the actor-comedian with the Bacoor City Prosecutor’s Office.
Her allegations detailed incidents that allegedly occurred in September 2024, following a Thanksgiving celebration for their television show “Widow's War.”
In her complaint affidavit, Daniela claimed that Alemania subjected her to unwanted physical contact, including kissing and groping, and made offensive and inappropriate remarks towards her during and after the party.
In December 2024, Archie’s legal team submitted a counter-affidavit to the court, vehemently denying Rita’s accusations.
The actor-host reportedly characterized his behavior and comments as merely “being friendly” towards his co-star.
However, in March 2025, the Bacoor City Prosecutor’s Office found sufficient grounds to indict Archie for acts of lasciviousness.
The prosecution determined that there was a “prima facie case with a reasonable certainty of conviction” and recommended that Archie be penalized under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code, which covers lewd acts such as inappropriate touching or fondling without consent.
Following the indictment, the Bacoor Regional Trial Court issued an arrest warrant against the actor-comedian.
He was subsequently granted provisional liberty after posting bail amounting to P36,000. With Archie’s “not guilty” plea now officially entered, the case is set to proceed to trial.
The gag order issued by the court means that detailed discussions about the evidence and testimonies will primarily take place within the legal setting.
The entertainment industry and the public will be closely watching the developments as the court seeks to establish the facts surrounding Rita’s serious allegations against her former colleague.
The pursuit of justice for the complainant remains a central focus as the legal proceedings unfold.
