Apl.de.Ap posted an update after the deadly car-ramming at the recent Lapu Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver, Canada.

It is worth noting that several people have been killed and multiple others were injured after a car drove into a crowd at the said Filipino community’s annual festival. The bloody incident happened 8:00 PM on Saturday during the festival at E. 41st Avenue and Fraser, according to Vancouver Police.
Following the incident, Apl released a statement expressing deep distress over the tragedy.

“Our hearts are broken for the victims, their families, and everyone affected by the tragedy at the Lapu-Lapu Festival.”
The Black Eyed Peas founding member said he and fellow BEP touring member J.Rey Soul had just finished performing when the deadly incident occurred.
“J-Rey and I had just finished performing and left the stage minutes before it happened. It's hard to describe the shock and the heaviness we feel.”
He went on to express gratitude to those who checked in on him. The Filipino-American rapper also urged everyone to offer prayers to those affected.
“Thank you to everyone who's checked in ― your love means the world.
Please keep the victims, their families, and the organizers in your prayers. They need all the love and strength right now.”
“The one thing I have noticed — from the audience to the messages sent around, is the sense of community that wraps its loving arms around us. We love you all,” he added, lauding the spirit of communal unity he witnessed and felt following the incident.

Rhea Santos confirmed that a Filipino may have been among those who died in the Vancouver incident. According to the former 'Unang Hirit' host, a Filipino citizen has created a 'GoFundMe' account asking for financial help. She also mentioned that the authorities in Vancouver, Canada, have not yet released any information regarding the identities of the casualties. As of now, she confirmed that 11 people have died from the incident and dozens more were injured, with many still in critical condition.
Previously, Lara Quigaman took to social media to share her sentiments after a deadly incident in Canada made headlines. The former beauty queen, in an Instagram story, said her heart is heavy following the car-ramming incident. It is worth noting that Lara, her husband Marco Alcaraz, and their children are currently residing in Canada.
