On Saturday, April 26, Project 8 Projects posted on social media Maris’ reaction after watching the movie for the first time at said film festival.
As seen in the carousel of photos, Maris, who donned a custom Filipiniana by Filipino designer Marc Rancy, was in tears while the closing credits were rolling.
According to the film production company, the Kapamilya star received a round of applause after the movie was shown.

“Maris Racal saw Sunshine for the first time in Udine, Italy. This was her as the credits rolled and the whole theatre clapped for her. She bawled her eyes out. We love you, Sunshine @mariesteller. The world is yours!” the caption reads.
In the comments section of the post, it could also be noticed that Dra. Vicki Belo left a positive remark.
“You are an amazing actress. I wish the world would discover ‘Mariupok as f as well,’” the celebrity doctor commented.
Project 8 Projects also published a reel showing several foreign nationals posing for selfies with Maris at the venue. Some of them even asked for an autograph from the Filipina actress.
Maris Racal is a Filipina actress, singer-songwriter, host, vlogger, and endorser. She became prominent in 2014 after competing in "Pinoy Big Brother: All In," where she placed second. She was previously in a relationship with Rico Blanco, a singer-songwriter and OPM legend.
