Actress Lotlot de Leon moved fans to tears after posting a heartfelt open letter to her late mother, the iconic Superstar Nora Aunor, who passed away on April 16, 2025 this year at the age of 71.
On Friday, April 25, Lotlot took to her official Instagram account to share a throwback photo of a young Nora holding her as a child, accompanied by a deeply emotional message for the Superstar.

"Ma, alam mo po, I find myself talking to you everyday... at alam ko nakikinig ka. Nasabi ko na rin naman sayo lahat, mommy... at alam ko rin na ang bilin mo sa akin ay ang mga kapatid ko at mga apo mo," the veteran actress told her mother in her now-viral post on the photo-sharing app.

Halfway through, Lotlot reflected on her mother's teachings, particularly the value of resilience.

Aside from this, she also expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of love from the public following her mother's passing this year, saying everyone showed up for the iconic star.
"Yung tinuro mo sa akin na maging matatag, sinusubukan ko po talagang gawin. Ma, maraming nagmamahal sayo. Sobra! Sana nakikita niyo po yun. They all showed up for you and our family and kami na mga anak mo sobrang grateful po."
Toward the end of her message, Lotlot mentioned her siblings—Ian, Matet, Kiko, and Ken—and asked their mother to continue watching over them before telling her to "rest easy" afterward.
"Si Ian, Matet, Kiko, Ken, at ako. Basta look after us always, ma... alam ko hindi mo kami pababayaan sa bawat desisyon na gagawin naming magkakapatid. At lalo pa kami nagkakaisa dahil sayo, and we promise to take care of your legacy, Ma, kami ng mga kapatid ko. Rest easy ma..."

During the interview, they recalled how they rushed to the hospital to be with their mother. According to Nora's eldest, Kristoffer Ian de Leon, "Everything just happened in a snap." Chiming in, Lotlot de Leon also recalled how their mother flatlined twice at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Lotlot De Leon, in an interview with ABS-CBN News, recalled the last conversation that she had with her mother, the late Superstar Nora Aunor. She said that Nora actually texted and told her that she should not worry. The late Superstar also said that she is very proud of the kids, and reminded Lotlot to always take care of herself and that she loves them all very much.
