Enchong Dee, a Kapamilya actor, recently gave his fans a scare after revealing that he had been rushed to the emergency room due to what seemed to be a much serious allergic reaction.

On Monday, April 21, the actor took to Instagram to share a photo of his hand with a hospital tag, prompting concern and well-wishes from his followers, who were all worried about him online.

In his caption, Enchong recounted why he was brought to the ER at Makati Medical Center.

"Thank you to all the ER doctors and nurses in Makati Med. My throat almost closed if it wasn't for their quick response," he wrote, expressing gratitude for the medical team that attended to him.

The Kapamilya actor admitted that he is still uncertain about the complete list of things that he is allergic to — a realization that made him want to take action soon after he is done with his work.

"I honestly don't know the full list of my allergies. Now it will be a priority as soon as I'm done with work," he added, vowing to make his health a top concern moving forward from the incident.

In a moment of reflection, Enchong also emphasized the importance of being prepared, especially when it comes to healthcare since it could take a toll on the person "physically and financially."

"Also, health insurance is a must! Ang bigat-bigat ng extra gastos pag may karamdaman tayo," he advised his followers, highlighting how unexpected medical emergencies can take a huge toll.
