Marjorie Barretto addressed another sensitive issue surrounding her daughter Claudia Barretto's wedding in the latest installment of her tell-all interview with entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz.

This time, the celebrity mom went on to debunk claims made by Dennis Padilla, as well as his siblings that their mother, Lina, was disrespected during the event and that the latter shed tears.

The controversy sparked after Dennis, along with his brother Gene Padilla and their mother, Mama Lina, attended Claudia's intímate wedding with her longtime boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo.

Following the celebration, social media posts from Dennis' side of the family began to circulate.

"Grabe yung sinabi nila. Inapi yung nanay, hindi pinaupo yung nanay, eh she was seated separately from Dennis and Gene because Dennis and Gene had their own world," she began.

Marjorie explained that Mama Lina had been seated properly and comfortably during the ceremony, based on confirmation she personally sought from the wedding coordinators.

"My Mama Lina, according to the coordinator I asked kanina, na she was seated properly. Sabi niyo ay iyak ng iyak, nainsulto, awang-awa sa inyo, she didn't cry at all [and] you wouldn't know because you did not even sit beside your mother," the former actress emphasized to Ogie.

In a touching recollection, Marjorie shared that she even went out of her way to assist her former mother-in-law when she noticed her struggling to walk down the stairs during the ceremony.

"Nakikita kong pababa eh, ako yung nasa front row, bumababa si Dennis, inaakay niya si mama kasi nahihirapan si mama maglakad, si Dennis nasa kanan and I took her by the left. I met her halfway dun sa stairs sa altar and I walked with mama para magbigay ng respeto," she recounted.

To further back her statements, Marjorie shared a photo contradicting the claims of mistreatment.

"She was so happy to see me, hindi mugto ang mata ng mother-in-law ko. She was kissing me, I was kissing her, and I was hugging her, she was hugging me. 'Marjorie! Ang ganda ganda mo pa rin, na-miss na kita!'"

Marjorie ended her statement with visible frustration over the unfair accusations: "So ano yung sinasabi niyo na inaapi yung yung nanay ninyo? Di ko maano eh, may picture ako, Ogie."

The celebrity mom then asked the netizen if they realized how irresponsible the post was. At one point, Marjorie even called the netizen out for editing their original post about Julia.

Meanwhile, Marjorie Barretto delighted her Instagram fans and followers with her latest post. On Monday, January 20, Marjorie uploaded lovely snaps she took with her family. Also spotted in their weekend trip was Gerald Anderson, who is Julia's long-term boyfriend. Needless to say, many were delighted to see Marjorie spend time and have fun with her kids.
