At the beginning of the now-viral video, Ellen experimented with different filters on Derek's face before shifting to a clip of her sitting on the edge of a sofa while waiting for him to wake up.

When he finally did, Derek reacted in a way that only someone accustomed to Ellen's antics would—grumbling, "Para palang g*go. So stupid," before turning over, seemingly unfazed by the prank.

Most netizens found it amusing, however, one netizen took issue with Derek's reaction, "Para ka palang g*go eh. Asawa ko never ako namura kahit anong kabaliwan ko HAHAHA, stupid!"
