On Friday, March 21, 2025, Richard shared a series of heartfelt photos capturing moments with Kai on his official Instagram account, delighting several netizens on the photo-sharing app.

Despite enduring zero sleep and still adjusting from East Coast time, Richard prioritized being present for this special occasion, which prompted many to praise the actor's commitment.

In his caption, he revealed that he hasn't slept yet after landing, "Zero sleep and still on East Coast time, but back in Manila in time for Kai's 7th birthday. Wouldn't miss his birthday for the world."
