Talent manager Ogie Diaz recently took to social media to share a powerful post remembering Kian delos Santos, the 17-year-old student who was killed in 2017 during former President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on dr&gs.

Diaz reposted an image featuring Kian’s haunting last words before he was shot by police:

"Tama na po! Tama na po! May test pa ako bukas..." (Please stop! Please stop! I have a test tomorrow…).

Along with the post, Diaz posed a thought-provoking question to the public, urging them to put themselves in the shoes of Kian’s loved ones.

"Paano kung kamag-anak nyo siya?" (What if he was your family?), he asked.

He followed up with another question, challenging people to reflect on their stance regarding the controversial dr&g war.

"Ano kaya ang sasabihin niyo ngayon?" (What will you be saying now?), he added.

Diaz’s post comes as the country revisits the horrors of the dr&g war following the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte under a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Earlier, actor Jake Ejercito also shared the same post, commemorating Kian’s death at a time when discussions about justice and accountability are once again at the forefront.

Kian’s case remains one of the most significant reminders of the brutal anti-dr&g campaign, with security footage later debunking police claims that he fought back.

In a video shared by GMA News, CIDG chief, Police Major General Nicolas Torre III, is seen reciting the Miranda Doctrine to the former president. The reading of the Miranda rights is a standard procedure for persons being arrested to ensure that the latter fully understands their rights upon their arrest. It can be recalled that the International Police (InterPol) has confirmed the issuance of the arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court against the former president.

An earlier video showing former President Rodrigo Duterte’s longtime partner, Honeylet Avanceña, seemingly trying to prevent the former leader from being taken into custody has gone viral. The video, which was posted on the social media page of their daughter, Veronica or Kitty Duterte and shared by ABS-CBN news on its own page, has since then gone viral. The said video also captured snippets of conversations between Avanceña and the former leader. As of this writing, the video has gained 1.2 million views with 5.4K comments and 29K reacts.
