Cristine Reyes is making the rounds on social media due to her now-deleted post, which showed a throwback photo of herself with “Meteor Garden” actress Barbie Hsu.

The Filipina actress’s post on Facebook earned mixed reactions from netizens due to her caption, where she wished the Taiwanese actress’ soul an eternal peace and also greeted herself with a happy birthday.

It is worth noting that the Taiwanese star is currently the talk of the town due to the news about her untimely passing. She has died at the age of 48 on February 2, as confirmed by her family. Barbie succumbed to influenza-induced pneumonia after getting it during their Japan tour for the Chinese New Year period.

Senyora then shared a screenshot of Cristine now-deleted post. The famous social media personality also responded to the Pinay actress’ attention-grabbing caption.

"Haaays feeling sad 😞 — anyways happy birthday Cristine 🥳"

Meanwhile, Cristine penned a Story responding to the criticisms she received due to the post.

“Maligayang kaarawan sa akin. Yun na lang.. oks na!? Kailangan palaging perfect. Bawal magkamali nowadays.. May kalupitan na kapalit sa mga bagay kapag nagkamali e, diba?” she wrote.

Cristine went on to express, “Marahil ako nga talaga ay nag-lukuksa ngayong kaarawan ko. Good? Ang daming magagaling sa mundo.”

Cristine Reyes is a popular actress in the Philippines. Her sister is veteran actress Ara Mina. She became known when she joined GMA-7’s reality TV program, StarStruck. On January 27, 2016, Cristine married Ali Khatibi in a private ceremony, and they have a daughter named Amarah. However, Cristine and Ali’s separation was confirmed in 2019. She is now dating actor Marco Gumabao.

Previously, Cristine Reyes became the talk of the town after she was spotted leaving the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal crying. In an exclusive message sent to KAMI, Ara confirmed that her sister emotionally left the awards night because their mom was rushed to the hospital. On Instagram Stories, Cristine then shared a clip showing her looking after her mom.Her daughter, Amarah, could also be seen in the short video.

Earlier, Marco Gumabao and Cristine Reyes were interviewed by Karen Davila. They were asked about their love story, to which they readily responded to. Marco explained that ever since he already had a crush on Cristine.
