Shaina Magdayao is among the celebrities who are currently mourning the passing of Gloria Romero.

It can be recalled that the veteran actress died on Saturday, January 25, at the age of 91.

On Instagram Stories, Shaina shared a fan page’s post displaying an old photo of herself with the Queen of Philippine Cinema.

The Kapamilya actress also penned an on-screen caption about the things she learned from Gloria.

“Rest in Peace my Lola Gloria. The woman who taught me to pray the rosary on the set of ‘Tanging Yaman,’” Shaina revealed.

“So blessed to have shared the screen with you po but most importantly, to have learned from such a gracious soul,” she continued.

Shaina further expressed gratitude to the late movie and television icon for touching the lives of many.

Gloria Romero is a renowned Filipino actress with a career spanning over seven decades in Philippine cinema and television. Born on December 16, 1933, she rose to fame in the 1950s and became one of the most iconic leading ladies of her era. She starred in numerous classic films under Sampaguita Pictures, including Dalagang Ilocana (1954), which earned her the first-ever FAMAS Best Actress award.
